Security and Police uniforms

Security and police are the integral part of the society and very important role in guarding the frontiers of the nations as well as the inside security of the nation or the state they are the most respected and honored peoples in the state when compared to the other people wearing uniforms. Security and Police uniform provides sense of responsibility towards the society to work tirelessly for the betterment of the community. Due to this the security and the police are given due respect. In this matter the security and the police uniform play an important role in boosting their morale and confidence. Due to the various factors such as terrorism and anti social elements the security has come to lime light, thus to distinguish security and police from the other people the uniform is made compulsory to security and the police forces.

Some years back the color of these forces was khaki in most of the countries but as trend changed the various color uniforms came into regulation. A security and police uniform normally consists of shirt, trousers, name tab, rank, belt, shoes with socks and the cap or the barrette. A security and police cop has to maintain their uniform in neat tidy condition all the time. A pistol or rifle is also a part of the security and police uniforms. In some special cases like detectives and vigilance officers they don’t have to be in proper uniform to secure their identity from the other people and to carry out their special task with out many hindrances. The members of the government bodies decide the pattern of the security and police uniform. All these uniforms are as per the rules and regulation of the government. It is compulsory for the armed guards and the defense security forces to be in uniform when ever on duty. A security or the police are deployed at the sensitive areas to safeguard the property and society and the uniform plays an important role in distinguishing them from common people. In all situations the uniform is to be maintained clean and well pressed all the time as it is a pride of the nation as well as of the individual.

Security and the police uniforms are normally of dark colors so that the dirt and stains are not visible clearly and uniforms are kept tidy for longer duration. The uniforms has a minor changes in case of security or the police officers and the guards, this is because of the status of the officer they own and to get the clear idea to the common people to distinguish difference between the officer and the men.

Each and every part of security and police attire has its own significant and that is described in following paragraph to get the clear idea of uniform.

The uniform shirt

The uniform shirt is made from good quality fabric and mostly it is in dark color. The straps are provided on the shoulder for mounting the rank or the name of the regiment they belong. It should be of definite thickness and in length as per the rules and regulation of the organization. The pockets of uniforms are bigger than the normal size to keep their identity cards and other related documents. A place is provided on left side pocket to place the name tab to identify the individual by his name. On the right hand side pocket also, a place is provided for mounting the ribbons and medals. It is mandatory that all the uniform shirts should be similar in look other wise a disciplinary action is taken against the individual.

The Uniform Trouser

The uniform trousers are similar in color of the uniform shirt. Both trouser and the uniform shirt is important part of the security and police uniforms. These shirts and trousers are maintained in good condition while on duty. Hooks or the straps are provided on the waist of the trousers to wear the belt along with the small firing arms like pistol. These straps are to be of definite shape and size as per the laid down rules. Trousers should not be fashionable in nature and should fulfill all conditions of the dress code.

The shoes

Shoes are the integral part of the security and police uniforms. These shoes are normally of black in color and are well polished at all the time. These shoes provides stability to the uniform and enables the cops to walk fast or run when ever the situation demands to get hold of the miscreants or the anti social elements. Socks are mandatory whenever the shoes are worn and that should of similar color of the uniform. The pattern of the shoes is to be similar to the dress code that is laid down by the authority. In all of the above part of the attire there are minute variations in uniform in case of security officers and police officers.

The uniform cap

The cap is the most important part of the attire and should wear always while on duty. The uniform cap is the pride of the organization as well as of the individual and it provides sense of responsibility towards the nation and the society. In most of the cases it issued by the organization to avoid any dissimilarity. In front side of the cap at the center a place is provided for mounting the badge of the organization or of the regiment. This badge is useful in identifying the organization that the individual security personnel belong. In case of security and police officers instead of cap a pea cap is worn. It is for distinguishing the men and officers.

Other than above stated attires a security and police uniform consists of rifle in case of guard, a whistle in case of traffic police, a stick for unarmed guard and hand gloves that is used during special occasions.

All of the attires are to be kept in good condition and well pressed so to have a good impression and sense of pride. At most care is to be taken while wearing and maintaining the security and police uniforms because wearing untidy uniforms by the individual is liable to be punished.
