Normally, the aprons which are used in higher end restaurants and costlier hospitals, are specially designed by professional designers so that the aprons can reflect the culture and richness of the restaurants and the hospitals respectively. Care should be taken in such a way that the aprons design and color go along with the other parts of the attire. If not the aprons can spoil the whole look.

Even though the term apron was introduced in late 1960’s there were in usage under some other names from the early part of twentieth century itself. How ever they gained popularity in the late 1970’s. But as the usage in the houses by housewives decreased drastically their demand got decreased in 1980’s and in early part of 1990’s. But, as the aprons became status symbols at airports, restaurants and at some other costlier places the usage and demand of aprons again increased in the last decade. Now there is a good enough market for these aprons and new models and designs are coming up every month.
