Work uniform is the identity of the workers to distinguish them from the crowd. These work uniforms are commonly used in all the industries and the units such as workshops and in motor repairing garages to help them to keep their formal clean and tidy. Organizations such as police, defense, airports, railways and the security related organizations wear work uniforms as a symbol of authority and to disclose their rank and status in the particular organizations. Work uniforms normally consist of shirt, pant, aprons, suit combination or the overall and in some of the cases a cap or hat as per the nature of organization. It also helps in providing a brand image to the industry. Work uniforms have various colors, shades, designs and mostly the logo of the company on chest or on to the shoulders. In some case like defense and security related work uniforms rank and name of the individual is provided on the uniforms. Let us go through all the various work uniforms in detail to understand their purpose and each uniforms character.

Industry Uniform

Different industries adopt various work uniforms as per nature of work and to stand out from the different industries. Defense and security related organizations have their work uniforms as per the laid down rules, regulations and standards. The rank or the status of the individual is placed on the shoulders and the name tabs on the chest and that is also considered as a part of the work uniform. All the work uniforms of defense and security people are similar in nature for all the men and officers and there is no fashion or extra patch is added on to the uniforms. All these people keep their work uniform neat and clean and they feel proud in uniform.

Government Organizations or the office workers

In case of government organization the color of the work uniform is separate for shirt and for trousers. The shirts are normally half sleeved and of light color where as the trousers are of dark colors. These work uniforms are stitched as per the laid down standards of the government rules and regulations. In case of office workers there is no particular policy but they have to maintain the definite standard that is issued by the head of the organization.

Corporate office

In corporate office also the working staff has to maintain the dress code to distinguish them from the other office bearers. There are no written rules for the office workers but they have to maintain the discipline in case of the work uniforms. The corporate work uniforms are mostly of dark colors to with stand the extra sweating and dirt especially in summer seasons.

Work uniform is important attire for the employer because it gives me extra responsibility to do the assigned job. It improves the teamwork and the sense of cautiousness towards the job profile and also towards the fellow workmen. It makes the job simple whenever he wears uniform as he has sense of responsibility towards the organization. This work uniforms increases the production and in turn increases the profit of organization as the worker tries his best to provide full attention towards the assigned jobs. Once the industries get more profit in turn the management of the organization provides extra benefits to the workers. In case of woman workers the color of the uniform is same but they have to wear either suits or the dress that provides the comfort and satisfaction. In case of some countries like India , Sri Lanka and other South Asian countries the women workers wear either suit salwar or the saris. At the same time the final decision lies on the management members of the organization. Work uniforms provide safety and security to the workers in crunch situations.

The only disadvantage of the work uniform is that of cleaning because in case of light color uniforms they become dirty with in short time, so to get them cleaned it is the duty of the worker to wear neat and clean work uniform while on duty. To get rid of the difficulty most of the industries and government organizations provides two or three pairs of work uniforms to the employee of the industry so that they can maintain the uniform in condition. In some of the organizations cash is issued to the employees in lieu of work uniform along with washing allowances. The clean and tidy uniforms help the individual to look smart and dashing and this helps in improving the image of the industry and organization.

As per the seasons the work uniforms changes in most of the organizations in various countries. In winter seasons the work uniform consists of jackets, coat, shirt and the trousers to protect from the severe cold. In summer the uniforms are made of pure cotton and are of light colors to resist the heat. Earlier days the khaki color was very common in many organizations especially in defense establishments but that trend has changed in recent few years to compete with other organizations.

Because of that, they tend to not be as bothersome or interrupting to the web surfers as Pop-Ups. 99% of the time the web surfer doesn't even know the Pop-Under site is there until they move or close their main window, so they aren't in a "bad mood", from being interrupted, when they do see it. When you advertise your site with "Pop-Unders", your site is loaded behind another website that someone has just arrived at or left. Once the person closes off that particular site they then see yours, hence the name "pop-under". This is obviously a very cost effective way to have your site seen by thousands or even millions of people.

Obviously this type of advertising, as with most others has its pros and cons. The pro being people WILL see your site by the thousands and the cost is extremely low. The con being most people will close the pop-under without bothering to browse your website. That is a fact you have to be aware of.
